My name is Kristi Schaut- I have a 14 year old daughter, Nikki, who has been battling this cancer since 4/03. When she was diagnosed it was stage 4 with her entire abdomin engulfed with tumors. She underwent several weeks of chemo and in 2/04 has surgery which removed the remaining tumor. She then had radiation 4/04 (the entire month of April) She continued with a few more rounds of chemo and ended chemo 8/04. She was on Gleevec much of the time after her chemo. New tumor was found around the heart and lungs in 5/05. They did surgery again and removed the tumors and followed with radiation and she went on VP-16 again also. Last CT in 9/05 was good. She will do about 6 rounds of 3 weeks on and 1 week of off the VP-16. Her tumor sample from her last surgery should be on the way to the Stehlin foundation. This is why I am selling these wristbands to help find a cure for my daughter and all those that are close to you. We don't want to lose our loved ones to this.
